What a great tool the digital camera is - as I work through a mosaic I climb a stepping stool and take some shots of what I'm working on so I get some perspective on the piece, and can see what it looks like from a distance. A "dry fit" and photos give me a chance to change things before they become permanent. (Please just ignore the my feet which are often included in the shot...)
