Thistle - 1st drawing

This project started a long time ago - the first drawing was done in the Spring of 2011. Discussions and research ensued about substrates and materials. Then in the Spring of 2013, doing something completely unrelated, we happened upon the wonderful piece of marble. Well, that really started the ball rolling!

Once the substrate was acquired, we were able to re-draw and draft the design into more exact proportions and to actual size.
