Sarah's Coneflower Outside

This piece started from someone seeing my first coneflower and asking for another one for her garden. Gladly. However, during the creation of Coneflowers II, we had a very sad local event where a young RCMP constable was killed in a tragic MVA while on duty. She was a wife, mother and resident of our small community. I was working on the red glass fusions of the coneflower petals as I listened to the radio and incredible outpouring of grief from the community, and constantly thought about our Red Serge Officers who keep us safe. Thus, this piece became Sarah's Coneflower.

To be hung on a lovely cedar fence, in a lovely garden with lots of surrounding happy flowers.
